Bilingual IES José Planes

WE LOVE THEATRE! On 7th February our students had a fantastic vitit to the theatre in La Alberca. Students from the 1st and 2nd years saw a play called "All about Angel". It deals with the new life of a boy in Scotland and it focuses on a very controversial issue, BULLYING. With humour and loads of realism, students learn how to detect and treat bullies thanks to Angel and his new friends. Furthermore, students from the 3rd, 4th years and students from Bachillerato enjoyed a great adaptation of Shakespeare's  Macbeth . The play is set in the prohibition era with mobsters as protagonists instead of kings as in Shakespeare's original tragedy. The dramatization of the different roles has been perfectly portrayed on the stage. Besides some parts of the dialogue were in Spanish, helping our young learners understand this complex play. ELECTROYSIS.  We are plased to show you some videos on our project of Physics and Chemistry during the first term called "Electrolisys of water".  With this project, students have learnt that water is a chemical compound, since it can decompose into different substances via chemical changes and they show you as electricity can break the water bonds.  As you probably know, this is the first time that we teach Physics and Chemistry in the Second Year of CSE, so it is great to check these important improvements that our students do everyday.  Well done!! VISIT TO THE MUSEUM Yesterday we visited the "Museo de la Ciencia y el Agua" in Murcia.  We enjoyed a lot with permanent and temporary exhibitions and especially with the visit to the Planetarium which, of course, was in English.  We want to thank the museum staff who allowed us to keep improving our English.
